In Home Support
Servicing Mornington to Richmond and surrounding areas. Email any location Q’s.
Sometimes when you most need the help, it seems impossible to reach for. So many women navigating difficult terrain fall through the cracks when we only offer In Clinic care.
So I’ll come to you. I’ll bring my pins and herbs. I’ll bring my knowledge, compassion, experience and fresh perspective. And together we’ll set you up with a plan.
-
Our time together becomes a protected, safe space to be heard, held and tracking where you want to go.
We’ll do a treatment that’s designed to support your circumstance. We’ll explore each of the 6 layers of support I offer.
Between sessions you’ll have space to allow concepts to absorb and settle. To test things out. Then we’ll come back together. We’ll check in and further develop layers of support, awareness, care and knowledge around your experience.
-
I can become a touch point throughout your mothering years - however your path unfolds. Building connections like these - where you can return at any time - is intentionally designed to make reaching out for support easier.
Anytime things get tricky and overwhelming you know I’m here. I’ll be the familiar face that knows your experience and the landscape you’re walking. I’ll support you to plan and prioritise your way forward to a more restored self.
Let the fact that I am coming to you embed more deeply how important your care is. This is how it should be. Extensive, compassionate and adaptive care that comes to you.

If you have Private Health Insurance you may receive a rebate for In Home Acupuncture treatments. Some health funds do, others don’t. It also depends on your level of cover.
Call/email to your specific private health fund.
It is my understanding that ARHG and Medibank do not currently recognise mobile/home treatments. I’ll provide a receipt for claiming and you can give it a go.

I am not entering your space as a guest, I'm a part of your support team. And the difference is everything.
Please don’t clean your house or change your shirt for me. The external stuff won’t hold my attention for a second.
I care how you feel. I care that you are supported, seen, heard and held.
Part of encouraging women towards restorative, realistic mothering practices involves redirecting precious resources inwards. Which means messier floors.
The state of your house reflects nothing of your worth or value.
Plus: intermittent bites of toast, mum buns and trackies are all part of the advantages of in-home support.

We’ll need:
Somewhere to sit and chat - couch or round the dinner table works fine
Somewhere you can lie down - bed, couch
Blankets to make sure you’re warm during acupuncture

Short answer: Everything is possible.
We will always work with the resources we have available to us. I never want lack of childcare to be a barrier to support.
Long answer: We need to acknowledging the presence of two opposing factors:
The value of protected rest. Protected rest is where your babe isn’t going to cry / need you exactly 17 seconds after you’ve started to relax or begun to tell a hard story. It’s easier to absorb information, ask questions and learn new things when we can completely focus - without kiddos.
We live in the context of a society which means that mothers are often doing mothering work alone.
We aim for protected rest for you, while remaining flexible to what’s needed in your family.
If possible, I encourage you to have a support person around - even just for the 20-30 mins during the acupuncture.
If someone can take babe/kids for a walk or engage with them - amazing.
Here are some ideas:
For a babe - Feed them just prior to my arrival, or while we are chatting. Then your family member or friend can tuck them into the pram and take them for a walk. This is ideal because you won’t hear babe squeak or cry while you’re resting.
If there’s no extra set of hands, that’s fine too. I can hold them while your pins are in.
It's fine to have little one snuggled on your lap as we talk through the transition you’ve walked through. It’s also fine to stop a session midway for a breastfeed.
For a kiddo - schedule our appointment for a time they’re at kinder or grandparents. If that’s no good, is there an activity your kiddo can do while your pins are in? Could ABC Kids and our mate Bluey entertain them for 20 mins while your pins are in?
We can make anything work, but also, pull resources towards you so that we can prioritise your deep restoration.
Note: Our rest and care at these stages matter far greater than we have been conditioned to believe.

This is so much more than the acupuncture pins and the herbs you may receive during our time together. I am here to catalyse and clarify your thinking so that you can always be aware of the trajectory you are taking. So you can align your choices and actions for these mothering years with your values.
By encouraging new ways of thinking and challenging taken-for-granted assumptions, I intend to build a system that lifts its gaze to a world of maternal thriving.
I want the new pathways and perspectives you gain from our time together to fill your mind for the months and years to come after our treatments. I want it to infuse possibility and ripple change for your entire transitional years. To inform your decisions. And to cradle you in good health.
